Norway awards multi-year grant to AFS

At the Ninth Humanitarian Senior Officials Meeting on Syria in Oslo, the Norwegian government announced the award of a multi-year grant of NOK 55,000,000 to the Aid Fund for Syria for the period 2025-2028.

This funding, provided through the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (NORAD)’s pilot initiative to strengthen locally-led responses, was awarded via an open call to pooled funds worldwide.

Norway’s generous contribution will enable AFS to further advance its localisation agenda and support inclusive recovery efforts across Syria. Read the official announcement from the Government of Norway here.
