We are delighted to announce the initiation of a centralised blood bank network in the northwest of Syria, managed by our AFNS partner, WATAN Foundation, and supported by WHO. This important initiative is designed to ensure that patients in hospitals throughout the region have prompt access to safe blood products when required. The network will play a central role in managing and coordinating the blood products supply chain with the existing blood banks, which are members of the thalassemia and blood banks task force.
The Health Cluster cordially invites all of its partners to participate in this collaborative effort by registering their blood product requirements via the following link: https://ee.kobotoolbox.org/x/Rk4j0b36. By providing this information, you will enable the WATAN Foundation to effectively coordinate the supply and distribution of these vital blood products to hospitals in need.
The Health Cluster kindly requests that all partners complete their registration by 17:30 (5:30 pm) on the 9th of May 2023. We appreciate your support in working together to improve healthcare provisions in the northwest of Syria and ensure the timely availability of safe blood products for all patients.
