The Aid Fund for Syria (AFS) is reopening registration for NGOs seeking to become Qualified Partners of the Fund in Syria. Registration will be open from the 1st to the 30th September 2025. Applicants must:
- Be a legally registered non-profit organisation authorised to operate in Syria (Organisations not yet formally registered but authorised to operate in Syria and in the process of obtaining registration may also apply).
- Hold an active registration in a jurisdiction that permits engagement with international funding and is free from sanctions or restrictions.
- Maintain an active bank account capable of receiving funds through compliant, regulated channels, with a mechanism to route transfers into Syria.
- Demonstrate a physical presence in Syria with an operational office or premises.
- Have been active for at least the past three years.
- Provide annual financial statements audited by a certified external auditor for the past three years.
NGOs that previously applied but have not yet qualified must submit a new application in line with the new eligibility criteria. Becoming a Qualified Partner is a necessary prerequisite to being eligible to apply for funding through the AFS.
Interested organisations should complete the Registration Information 2026 form via https://gms.metricsled.com/. Please ensure applications are complete, as only fully submitted forms will be considered.
